I know the hours will be gne before i even say Jack Nicholson, but guess that's how it is. So, why now? ask ppl around me. Want to spend my birthday with my folks, I say. Oh! So there'll be a party, eh? Yeah, sure, I'll invite a few cows and maybe some goats, if i'm lucky. My Mum and Dad stay on the outskirts of a village, that's right, not even a village, but its outskirts. A human soul is almost hard to spot and the silence can be deafening. Just some mango groves and a couple of vegetable farms are all I can see from the kitchen, my Mum's abode,all 45*45 sq ft of it. The evenings zip by as I read my fave book swinging on a branch of an old mango tree, once laden with many a delicious fruit, now barren. Or play a game of cricket with the goatherd boys who have some absolutely bizzare rules and outwit me every single time. Calvinball wouldn't hold a candle to their game. I wonder how many people can walk over to their gardens every evening and pick the veggies they'd like to have for dinner. Ah! Organic food. There's a downside too. I go with one bag, come back with 2.5. I don't have the heart to remove any of the carefully packed loads of fresh vegetables my mum stacks in my bags when i'm not around. Aho! Neeways, Hasta la vista!
