Easy tip to make people like you

Here is a simple tip to make people to like you. Whenever you are conversing with someone, find something about them which you like. It could be anything - their smile, the way they stand, their way they walk, their confidence, their neat appearance etc. Just find something which you genuinely like and appreciate.

While talking to them, focus on the thing which you like about them. This appreciation will reflect in your eyes and people will start liking you almost instantly.

If you don't believe this technique is so effective, recall a time when you saw real appreciation for yourself in the eyes of somebody else and remember how you wonderful you felt. Others are likely to feel the same way.

How to Achieve Success Quickly

Do you want to succeed fast in business, career, studies etc.? In order to succeed fast you need to fail as fast as possible.

You should be willing to try out new things, be willing to stub your feet and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you are afraid of failing, you will not try new things.

So the simple thing to remember if you want to achieve success fast is to fail fast. I am not saying to fail deliberately (infact you have to try and minimize risk as much as possible), but at the same time you have to be mentally prepared for failure. Any worthwile success takes time and effort. You are likely to make a lot of mistakes along the way and have to learn from the mistakes. If you shy away from mistakes and failures, then you are likely to get frustrated and easily give up on your goals.

Now that you know the secret of fast success (the secret is to fail as fast as possible and as many times as required until you can finally achieve success), let us now look at couple of ways you can use to fail fast:

1.Try out new things: Dont be afraid of trying out new ideas and approaches. New things involve a certain factor of risk because you are attempting them for the first time, but don't let that stop you for going ahead.

2. Make things more challenging: You can try making a task a little more difficult and challenging, so that you can learn new things and fast while doing it. Making tasks more challenging can speed up your learning process and help in improving your skills. But dont try to make them too difficult or else you may give them up altogether.

If you liked the above article, then download this free E-book which contains more information on how to succeed faster by failing fast and other useful business ideas. The ebook is available free to download

Tips for Healthy Sleep

var sc_project=2136118;
var sc_invisible=1;
var sc_partition=19;
var sc_security="da3fd62a";

Good night's sleep is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Your sleep
can affect other areas of your life like how you feel during the day, how active
you are, your studies, career, relationships etc.
People should wake up every morning feeling refreshed and energetic without
the need of an alarm clock. This may be possible if you have a good healthy
sleep at night.
Below are some tips for better sleep:
=============================
1. Have a regular bed that is comfortable. Also maintain regular schedule for
sleeping and waking up, even on weekends. Try going to bed at the same time and
getting up at the same time every day. Maintaining this time schedule is very
important. This helps in overcoming sleep problems.
2. Create a sleep-conducive environment that is dark, quiet, comfortable,
cool relaxing.
3. Finish your dinner atleast 2-3 hours before sleeping.
4. Avoid nicotine, caffeine and other stimulants which can be found in
coffee, tea, soft drinks, cigarettes, chocolate etc.
5. Regular exercise can help in maintaining good health and can also be
useful for good sleep. But remember to finish your workout atleast a few hours
before your bedtime.
6. Try to go to bed only when you are sleepy. This avoids that time you often
spend trying to sleep but failing to do so.
7. Keep your bedroom at a comfortable temperature, neither too hot nor too
cold.
8. Don't worry unnecessarily if you feel you are not getting enough sleep, as
it might make matters worse. If you have the habit of waking up in the middle of
the night and looking at your clock, it is advisable to turn away the clock from
your eyes so that you have to turn it back in order to see the time and you may
decide not to go through that trouble and might soon overcome this habit.
9. If you cannot sleep for 15-20 minutes then get out of bed and do something
else. Return to bed only when you feel reall sleepy. Repeat this as many times
as necessary during the night.
10. Nutritional food like green vegetables and fresh fruits can help in
improving the quality of your sleep.
11. An old-fashioned remedy is to take two teaspoons of cider vinegar with
two teaspoons of honey in a glass of warm water.
12. Footbaths in lukewarm water can help in inducing sleep.
13. While lying in bed you can visualize various parts of your body
relaxing.
14. Free your mind from worries as they can prevent you from having a restful
sleep. Leave office work at office, do not spend more than 3-5 minutes thinking
about the day's problems while you are in bed, avoid having arguments with
somebody in the evenings as they can interfere with your sleep at night. If you
have a long list of things to do and your mind is constantly thinking about them
then one of the best ways to free up your mind is to write down each important
task on a piece of paper, next to each task you may write down a future date and
time when you want to deal with it. Writing them down will help in uncluttering
your mind so that you can now peacefully go to sleep.
Some tips to help you feel fresh and energetic
during ===================================
  daytime: ========
1. If you have problems getting up from bed in morning, then try this simple
technique to fully awaken yourself. Just go into direct sunlight and stay there
for 2 minutes. When we are in darkness, our body produces hormones which make us
feely sleepy. This sleepiness can be overcome by exposing our bodies to bright
light, specially sunlight. You should feel wide awake and fresh now.
2. While getting up in the morning, do not jump out of your bed. Instead take
your time - adjust your clothes, stretch your body and ease out of bed rather
than hurrying. Drink a glass of water to get your system going again.
3. Take short naps during the day to help you remain energetic. You may avoid
sleeping for longer hours during day, but take short naps ranging from 10-30
minutes as these naps will help in recovering lost energy and keeping you fresh
all day long. Research has proved the benefits of short naps and many busy
people have been known to take naps during the day - among them being Thomas A.
Edison, Mark Twain etc.
Tips for people who work in Night
Shifts: ============================ =
1. Use room darkening shades or curtains if you are sleeping during
daytime. 2. Use fan to block out outside noises. 3. Try to take regular
meals and balanced diet. 4. Walking, jogging, swimming etc. can help in
making you stay alert and enjoy healthy sleep. 5. Avoid late night
caffeine.

Are you failing despite persistence?

var sc_project=2136118;
var sc_invisible=1;
var sc_partition=19;
var sc_security="da3fd62a";

All of us must have heard the proverb: "Winners never quit and quitters
never win". Time and again, we have seen the value of persistence in the
lives of succesful people in whatever field they were, whether
in business, politics, sports etc. But there may be a lot many men and
women who persisted in trying to achieve something yet they failed. You may be
among them, you may have been trying to achieve something from many years and
still have not succeeded. So what is the difference between people who
persist and finally succeed and people who fail despite persisting
tirelessly?? There is a very important difference. Read on. People
who persist and still fail in achieving their desired goals, are usually
those who keep on doing the same thing again and again and yet expect a
different result. Persistence is not about repeating the same thing over
and over and hoping for a different result each time. It is stupidity,
not persistence. Such persistence is misguided and not likely to
help you. People who tasted success are usually those who learn from
their mistakes, change their approach, try new things and keep trying
new things till they are able to finally achieve their desired
result. Such people are open-minded, willing to learn, try new
approaches and don't assume they know everything. Thomas A. Edison
seems to have failed 10,000 times before finally inventing the light bulb.
Now each time he failed, he tried another experiment and kept on doing it. He
didnt repeat the same experiment 10,000 times hoping for a favorable result.
If he had done that, then most likely the light bulb would not have been
invented, not by him atleast. So remember the following points while
pursuing your goals: 1. Be persistent. 2. Try another approach if the
earlier one didn't work. 3. Keep and open mind and be willing to learn,
specially from your mistakes. Do not assume that you know everything. 4.
Do not think that you have tried all possible approaches. You may have tried
all approaches that you are aware of, but there may be things that you don't
currently know. So focus on finding newer approaches. If you do the
above, then you are giving your mind strong signals that you are determined
to achieve your goal. Your mind no longer has any excuses. This is the kind
of persistence that we need.

Easy method to manually find a square root

Here is an almost-forgotten art, one that, with the advent of electronic calculators, will likely survive to the twenty-first century only on paper and in the memories of oldsters.
What is the number you want to find the square root of? Here's one we'll use: 46656

First, divide the number to be square-rooted into pairs of digits, starting at the decimal point. That is, no digit pair should straddle a decimal point. (For example, split 1225 into "12 25" rather than "1 22 5"; 6.5536 into "6. 55 36" rather than"6.5 53 6".)
Then you can put some lines over each digit pair, and a bar to the left, somewhat as in long division. +--- ---- ----
     | 4 66 56

Find the largest number whose square is less than or equal to the leading digit pair. In this case, the leading digit pair is 4; the largest number whose square is less than or equal to 4 is 2.
Put that number on the left side, *and* above the first digit pair. 2
     +--- ---- ----
  2 | 4 66 56

Now square that number, and subtract from the leading digit pair. 2
     +--- ---- ----
  2 | 4 66 56
     |-4
     +----
       0

Extend the left bracket; multiply the last (and only) digit of the left-hand number by 2, put it to the left of the difference you just calculated, and leave a decimal place next to it. 2
     +--- ---- ----
  2 | 4 66 56
     |-4
     +----
4_ | 0

Then bring down the next digit pair and put it to the right of the difference. 2
     +--- ---- ----
  2 | 4 66 56
     |-4
     +----
4_ | 0 66

Find the largest number to put in this blank decimal place such that that number, times the number already there plus the decimal place, will be less than the current difference. For example, see if 1 * 41 is <= 66, then 2*42, etc. In this case it's a 1. Put this number in the blank you left, and in the next decimal place on the result row on the top. 2 1
     +--- ---- ----
  2 | 4 66 56
     |-4
     +----
41 | 0 66

Now subtract the product you just found. 2 1
     +--- ---- ----
  2 | 4 66 56
     |-4
     +----
41 | 0 66
     |- 41
     +--------
           25

Now, repeat as before: Double the last digit on the left; bring down the next digit pair on the right; find the largest next result digit; subtract. 2 1
     +--- ---- ----
  2 | 4 66 56
     |-4
     +----
41 | 0 66
     |- 41
     +--------
42_ 25 56

           (426 * 6 = 2556)

       2 1 6
     +--- ---- ----
  2 | 4 66 56
     |-4
     +----
41 | 0 66
     |- 41
     +--------
426 | 25 56
     |- 25 56
     +-------------
                 0

When the difference is zero, you have an exact square root and you're done. Otherwise, you can keep finding more decimal places for as long as you want.

Its Winter time - Get Ready to Battle Flu

Winter has started in Hyderabad, and it will last till February. Winter
time means many of us may get affected by cold or flu.
You can see a lot of people coughing, sneezing - being affected by the cold.
It is a common sight during this season, so I am presenting below some
information in order to prevent from catching the flu.
   Flu:
Influenza, commonly called as flu is a viral disease which affects the
respiratory system.
    Difference between flu and common
cold:

1. The common cold develops gradually over several days and can start with a
scratchy throat, sneezing, which can further lead to congestion. Whereas, flu
generally starts abruptly with headache and other body aches. There may also be
feeling of being exhausted and fatigued.
2. The fever accompanying common cold may be mild, while in flu the fever is
usually high.
3. The cough in common cold is generally hacking and can be moist because of
congestion in the chest. The cough during flu is usually dry and hacking, and
can last till all other symptoms of flu have gone.
4. Flu affects the whole body, while common cold may generally affect only
the upper body.
   Typical Symptoms of flu:
Rapid and intense fever, headache, dry cough, sore throat, chills, eye
pain, sneezing, running nose, tiredness, depression, weakness, muscle aches
fatigues etc. The symptoms generally last for a few days, but sometimes can
stretch upto even weeks.
   Flu Risks:
Some people have a higher risk of flu complications, like pneumonia. For most
people the flu goes away in a week or two, but some can get very sick because of
it. Those groups include:
>> babies and kids under age 5 >> people older than
65 >> adults and kids who have health problems, such as diabetes and
asthma >> women who are or will be pregnant during the flu season
   Prevention tips:
To prevent flu, we need to keep our immune system strong by eating
vegetables, fruits, whole food, drinking plenty of water, avoid smoking,
alcohol and stress.
If you catch flu, then try the following suggestions: a. keep warm, b.
lots of bed rest in a well ventilated room, c. consume warm fluids like
chicken soup, or other soups etc. d. drink plenty of water, e. take foods
that boost your immune system like Vitamin C,vitamin E, grape extracts, echinacea
etc. f. Gargle with salt water to temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy
throat. (1/2 teaspoon of saltwater with an 8-ounce glass of warm water).
>>The best way is to keep yourself healthy so that it is easy to avoid
colds and the flu in the first place. >> Make a serious effort to
manage stress because stress lowers your immunity making you more prone to
diseases and illness.

Hope the above information will be useful to you. Although the above
suggestions may not guarentee that you will be protected from flu, but they
should be helpful in making you prepared to deal with them and avoid them.

Pass on this useful information to others too. Pls give me your valuable
comments so that I can keep improving this blog for your benefit. All the
best.

Preventing Headaches -Easy Tips

Easy Tips to Get Rid of Headaches:
Now whatever is the cause or whatever be the nature of the
headache, most headaches are preventable.
Follow the tips given below and you will be amazed to find that
the prevention is actually in your hands.

1. Do not read when you
are lying down. The lying down posture is clearly not the best position to read.
It is a very common thing for a person to flop down on the bed with a book and
read it while lying down. In fact, many people make it a habit to read for a few
minutes before going to sleep. Let us say it once and for all; it is not good to
read while you are lying down.
  2. While reading, do n ot hold the book too close to your eyes. This is some
thing that happens when you lie down to read. The book tends
to move closer to your eyes than intended. This is something
that is bad for your eyes. Your eye muscles have to strain a lot in order to
focus on nearer objects. The book should ideally be at the
level of your chest.
Do not hold it too far away either. Holding the book too far away
is just as bad as holding the book too close.
  3. Eat plenty of
carrots; they are good for your eyes. Carrots are the best things that nature
has to offer for eye sight so go ahead and gorge on them. Carrots are rich in
vitamin A, which is the vitamin required for proper eye sight.

   4. If you feel that your eyes are under strain, take a break. The best
relaxation for your eyes is staring at a distant object or just keeping them
closed. Your eyes will give you signs when they are under strain. You will find
that you are getting tired sooner, your eyes may start to water or you might
notice that you have to squint your eyes in order to get a better
view.
  5. Try to blink
deliberately while working on the computer. When you work on the computer there
is an increased tendency to stare unblinkingly at the monitor. This especially
true if you are playing an exciting game. In such cases you should make a
conscious effort to blink your eyes.
If you do not blink your eyes, they will
become dry, they will hurt and this will ultimately precipitate as a headache.
It is when you blink that your eyelids wash your eyeballs with the tear
secretions. Your eyeballs must be moist always so remember to blink your eyes
even if you are deeply engrossed in something interesting.

   6. Breathing exercises help you breathe better and release the toxins in
your brain. The human body takes in a lot of toxic substances, both through the
air and through food and drink. Apart from this, various toxins are also
released in the body as a result of the various processes that are going on.
These toxins have to be released on a continuous basis or else they will
accumulate in the body with serious results.
One of the best ways of releasing these toxins is by means of
exhaling while breathing. One funny fact is that most of do not breathe
properly. With each breath that we take, we take in oxygen. This oxygen is
carried by the blood to every cell of the body and
every cell must indeed get enough oxygen not just to survive but to remain
healthy as well. So it is imperative that we make an honest attempt to breathe
properly. But first of course we have to make sure that we are breathing in
unpolluted air. The time best for breathing exercises is early in the morning
when the air is comparatively unpolluted.

   7. Try to get a good night

Introduction To This Blog

Welcome to my easy-health blog,

I have created this blog with one purpose, that is to provide you with tips
and techniques for improving your health and personal development. But there is
a difference....
I will attempt that all health and personal development tips provided
here are simple and easy to follow which each of us can do easily. That is my
main aim.

You may ask me why I want to provide only easy health tips. Well.. my answer
is that I am quite a lazy person and most of the times I do not consistently do
something which I am required to do. So many times I have started off something
and left it in the middle just because I didn't feel like carrying on with it. I
think the same case is with many people. Everytime on New Year's eve many people
make resolutions but fail to keep up their resolutions. So I think the majority
of us dump any activity at the first sight of difficulty, even if that activity
is helpful for us.
One way to overcome this problem is to follow those things which are easy to
