Womens cricket?????????????????

disturbd | Sports | 10 April 2005, 8:20pm

day 3

I havent posted  for qiute some time now n i get mail from fullhydblogs askin me to post.Well i never knew that my blog warranted such mails.Anyhow coming back to the title i feel sad to see indian womens losing to australia (they are 111/7 in 42 overs chasing a target of 215 by the time i m writing this post) .Seems like we need to get kangaroo culture into our sport. It really is amazing to see australians doing well in whatever sport take up.anyway India is losing n I wont bother whether it has reached the finals or not .Why?????? is the question u may ask.u will say they have reached the finals, that in itself is a great achievement.but hell no.The answer is that they wont make headlines which seems reserved for our "Heroes" even if they lose .We as a nation should get rid of our obsession with mens cricket(thank u narain n sania --- more abt them in a later post.)let us promote the prodigious talent in other sports so that we r not just a nation of a 100 billion people yearning for one gold or one silver medal in olympics.Let us aim for higher targets.that will come abt only if we get rid of the fanatical craze of the gentleman's game(no i m not refering to inzy).

ps:India have just lost to australia by 98 runs
