the moment i got up today i switched on the television just to get the feel of the day. i was surfing the channels and i observed that out of the channels that i stored maximum were news channels and every news channel showed the same news. there has been huge commercialisation of the news. newspersons look as if they have just come out of the ramp. they have become celebrities. i wonder these days when a guy dates a girl he might just use the catchline of a famous ad. our lives have been so much so controlled by media. the effect is enormous the recent reservation issue caught a lot of media attention. it is not a hidden fact that it is also termed as the "rang de basanti" effect. is question which lingers in my mind is do we control the remote control or does the remote control control us??

You are not the contents of your wallet, you are not how much money you have in the bank, you are not the car you drive, you're the all singing all dancing crap of the world.
Yes. I wonder if we are the consumers or are being consumed. For the channels, we are the statistics that matter. I am sure they have coloumns which say "went browsing at 09.08 hour."
