The Da Vinci Code.....A secret maintained by Leonardo Davinci from the world. But the Government of the place where I live also wanted to maintain the movie a secret by banning it. My country is the world's biggest SECULAR country, and the state where I live is an epitome of it. But, the state government has banned this movie...after almost whole of its educated population read the book, religiously. So, I had to travel almost 600Km shelling some Rs.2000 to catch this movie, just to feel the spark of independance. I hate anything that is controlled by someone.
I expected a lot from the movie. And mostly I got what I expected. Ron Howard excelled in what he does. Some scenes were exceptionally handled on the celluloid. And there is nothing I can say about the Oscar nominated(and also won..twice) actors. Sir Ian McKealan, Audry and Tom Hanks did what they are expected of....Bit, the surprise is Paul Bettany. He was one villain that is going to haunt me for quite some time. Very convincing performance in the role of Silas.
If I had to say some bad things about the movie, then it would be the time. I enjoyed this story in the form of a book more than a movie. The book builds the tension of the plot over a period of your reading it...say 4 to 5 days for me. All that tension and whatever other feelings are shown in three hours. But a movie can not be longer, you know...Mixed feelings about the movie.
I think this movie will be more enjoyed by those who didn't read the book. But, there is a chance of not understanding it completely.
On the whole, "The code" is a fiction and that is all. When everybody knows that it is a fiction, why to make a big scene out of it, by banning it. When the movie is working fine at cinemas in Rome City, why/how the hell it would hurt people elsewhere on religious grounds? Since when are better Christians living here in a Hindu country?
Any ways, I don't want to give a political tag for this issue now..
My rating for the movie is 3.5/5.

I was watching
Citizen Khan on CNN-IBN today. I didn't understand why this day has come up in my life. Aamir Khan is an actor and is an actor but nothing else. He, being a celebrity voiced his support for "Narmada Bachao aandolan" and nothing else. Those comments has to do nothing with either BJP or any other political party. Yet, he ended up in a controversy, which is sheer idiocity.
Gujrat banning "Fanaa" is a move that has no relevance in Democratic political scenario. What is it with the Indian politics lately? Why are politicians trying to involve in everything that is happening in this world? Why is it that no politician ever speaks against corruption, excess population or anything at all that really matters to the nation.
Even the Media is behaving the same way. It covers a Bachan-Rai murmers in a birthday bash, but wont speak against the kind of issues going on in the nation which has much higher relavance. Who is this Abhishek Bachan or Aishwarya Rai that their affair is more important. They are also people like us....
God only has to save us........When one can't help himself, even God doesn't help him.

I was very in a nostalgic mood today. In the morning I was listening to Rainbow-FM and one lady was talking about how she stole some mangoes from an orchid with the help of a complete stranger, in her childhood ofcourse...and later learning that the stranger helped her was actually the landlord of the orchid. She sounded very happy remembering that sweet memory of hers..
And while in the British library, a couple of hours back, I became very nostalgic while I was skimming through
Friends,a book on the ultra famous sitcom. I found myself laughing just by going through the book..Rachel, Ross, Chandler, Monica, Pheobe and Joey.....Can any one ever forget these names???
Imagine a life without any kind of Memories...AAh..the thought itself is dragging me back in time.

Hi all....
My apologies for this very delayed post...Got into the middle of something.
Well, it seems that a lot has been spoken about "The DaVinci Code" lately. And finally the movie is ready for a release in India. I don't understand, why some movies create a lot of fuss? The "Code" is said to be one of the biggest "block"-busters of the year and still is denied a release. The book has already created a greater buzz and now, the movie.
Tell me frankly, how many out there didn't read the book already? When reading is a book is not, how can seeing it on the celluloid is blasphemous!!
I saw
"Monty Python's Life of Brian" lately, and found this movie bit more objecting than the "Code". But, it was a comedy for God's sake...So no issues from my side.
I say, a film maker(for that matter, any artist(e)) should never be stopped from what he/she wants to express. After all
Freedom of expression is every citizen's right according to Constitution of India.
P.S: If you are feeling that you are being mislead by a piece of art, please ignore it. There are others who might find the same piece enjoyable.

I got as many oppertunities as my hairs on my head to earn money decently. But, I am not joining any of them as i am interested in something else which is very close to my heart.
I am in a dilemma where I need to accept the truth that Oppertunities knock your door rarely but may not be right choice as something awaits you somewhere else.
My basic feeling is that I may be a bit over optimistic about life that I am loosing out on life. Except from a job, I have everything and lots of confidence in myself. I just am looking for a life where my heart lies.
What is Life?
Is it working for money like every one does, or chasing our dreams?

I joined Gym to loose my 20 odd kilo excess baggage.
I never was serious about this, but yesterday being a Sunday, I remembered that I am a Hyderbadi and had a Byryani. Alas, I had a very tough time at the Gym today.
Why the hell do we need to eat more and then burn it out by rugging our...you know what!!
But one thing is for sure...

Why do we sometimes feel dizzy about life?
I asked many a times this question to myself...finding no convincing answer.
Of late I started a task hoping that it would benefit me in both my personal and professional life. A job which needs time and money and which returns glory and fame. But, in a cinematic way, I am not getting enough response from others as they are not aware of the "glory" they are gonna reap or they have no value for such feeling in life.
This is making me think that "You are not a person with what you do..You are one with what others do"... I feel like the work we do is more dependant on others than us primarily.
If you observe enough, there is no single successful person in this world. Always, there are doubles. A winner and his/her mentor or guide or friend or philosopher or .......
Examples..
Narayanamurthy(Infosys) backed up by Sudha Murthy, his wife.
Lord Krishna because of Arjuna.
DJ,Pandey,Karan,Sukhi and Aslam energised each other.

I was watching "The Incredibles" and wondered how much movies inspire us in our daily lives...
I always loved movies more than any other channel of entertainment. They made me laugh, cry and for that matter, any emotion that is possible to a 24 year young heart. They made me propose a girl during my college, fight with my friends and reunite with them again etc...
If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that movies actually are all around. (Again a famous quote from "Love Actually")
But God save us from those "Tegulu" movies...

Hello ladles and germs..
I am Phani from Hyderabad doing my Post Graduation. I love movies and love them a lot..
I am a constant searcher of variety. Recently dropped out of my college. I strongly believe that failures are stepping stones of Success. I have taken a very bold step of leaving home in search of bright future and self depandance, which is very uncommon in Indian society. I am in search of a job right now...
