Do u believe in fate?

8 May, 2004 @ 10:56am | General

So do u? Believe in fate, i mean? That there is a map for our life and we just follow a pre-destined route? That everything that happens to us is our destiny? That we have no power, no control over it? That when we think we are making a choice, we are, in fact, just follow choices that have already been made for us? Makes u wonder, doesn't it? Why bother with life, with choices, decisions... when everything is pre-destined?

Hey, you seem to be someone whoz been prejudiced by the way things are happening with ppl around you!! but trust me.. nothings gonna happen in ones life without giving a trail..
Fate favours the one who atleast thinks & puts his thoughts into action..Well, otherwise he/she leads the life of an milestone on a higway just looking at the passersby & thinking that fate would one day get him to where he wants.. but the truth being that it remains immobile..

Well,, think of this famous story..
A beggar once spent his entire life,,standing at one single point on a street for alms,,while he got very less & died ultimately with disgust & unsatisfaction..But yeah.. before he died he told ppl to bury him at the same spot where he use to beg for his alms..
But u know what happened,, when ppl dug a grave for him at that spot,,they found a box of hidden treasure..

So, my pal Swathi,, think over & explore avenues & dont just let fate decide where u need to be..

hi,
You are damn right...There IS a map to our life that we seem to follow. But I feel that the map is not what has been set by someone else but by ourselves!!! Newton´s laws apply even beyond Physics. Whatever we get is just what we threw at the wall.
So if we say...why bother with life?? life too says the same back to us!!!

Swathi,
Your theme seems to be a very good one. Your premise that fate is already decided may be true but i would still say Knowing the unknown with time gives you more satisfaction. The effort we put in to change our lives is more satiating than the end result. Its just like winning a chess game with the computer. difficult, but if u win..u know what it feels like. Cheer Up!! Start looking at the world with Optimism. Good Luck. (Open to arguement on this issue for mutual benefit of wisdom). Intd..catch up with me.

Take Care.. but dont forget to have fun with the unfolded mysteries of life.
