Valentine's day is round the corner. Museman has stayed away from writing about or broaching the subject of love. Seminal pieces have already been written. Devilsown beauty, shawshank and donnie come instantaneously to mind. Another reason is that museman is currently suffering from writer's block. What follows is an account of my life at CBIT. Sadly or gladly, Fortunately or unfortunately, CBIT has been my only reciprocated love interest for the last four years.CBIT has been very kind to me. Loved me as much as i loved her.(By the way, is college feminine of masculine?)
It was Einstein who talked about the relativity theory. Relativity of Time maybe.
When I am going to recount my life story, four years will be missing from it. Four years which went past in a jiffy. Four years of fun and glory. I remember the moment I stepped into CBIT as if it happened this afternoon. All jittery, palms wet with sweat, the bus journey from mehdipatnam to CBIT took an eternity. And when I reached CBIT, I saw before me a huge colossal campus which was going to be my love interest for the next four years (it still is!) That is what I remember and then the next four years just bypassed me and even before I realized, I was a graduate.
The alumni always talks about how CBIT had changed their life and blah blah blah. I used to think that they were just being diplomatic. The hard truth is that I too am an alumni now! And now I understand that it is not diplomacy but plain truth speaking that the alumni does. The four years at CBIT have had a profoundest influence on my life. Like they have on every CBITian.
I was quite regular to CBIT. I used to go to college everyday. Not to the classes though. That I believe is the real beauty of CBIT. Nobody ever imposes anything on you. You are free to do whatever you want to do. There are the sports room regulars, the library regulars, the canteen crowd, the lawn movers (people who move in and around lawns), of course, a motley crowd who also used to attend classes regularly. And the regular truants who come to college once in a month or so (as if to inspect it)
More than anything else, I would remember CBIT for the variety it offered me. The whole four years were about the people that I met and the friendships that I made on the way. You find a whole spectrum of people in CBIT. From people who get 90% to close friends and yours truly
