Disconnected
There's a wedding every other day and the loud music and fireworks at the function-hall nearby go on till a good time past midnight. Man is the only animal who has complicated a very simple thing, and invented an institution to frame it. An institution based on everything else except love! Why this deviation from other animals? Where did it go wrong? Everything is loud and fussy about man.
For every Buddha who understands the delight of life, there are a million people who live with insecurities and never strive to inquire the profundity of life. For every Camus who gives up on hope for human condition, there are another million people who drug themselves with optimism and believe in miracles. Man is the only animal who needs a shrink.
Where does it go wrong? Education? Or is it just how it is supposed to be? Is man inherently a 'below-average' species (with one 'sane' specimen on occasion), with a compulsive liking for regimentation, drugs and delusions? Well...

Following is IMHO.
All this boils down to insatiable need to survive. Other animals would have done better if they ever started thinking.
At the individual level the need to survive has across ages grown into a need for social standing according to contemporary social norms.
At the collective human level the need to survive has led to many socioeconomic evolutions and brought us where we can see the dangers to not only us but also other species and to the concept of life itself.
These changes alongwith immense collective effort across millenias have provided us with a possible ability to sustain life across the cosmos. This is the same life which we know not how it started, not realise could have been potentially stiffled in the past many terrestrial and inter galactic events, and the threat persists. Left to the utopia of misanthropy this realisation would not have been possible. If at all there is someone who should be thanked, it is the human. If at all there is a god then it is the human. Please dont blame him/her.
Loud noise, though unnecessary and annoying, is just a small cost for the greater good. By the way even animals announce themselves loud when they are ready to mate. It is infact humans who managed to make mating a subdued affair.
