Life in the twilight zone
krishnaveni | 9 May 2009, 8:35am
I stand and look at myself today
See myself a little broken,
A little burnt,
A little hurt and charred, here and there.
I also see a smile on my face
When I think of what I have seen
What I have done so far
To be standing today, and that too here.
There has been sunshine at times,
And storms too soon followed.
I have been ripped apart,
But at the same time found beliefs that strung me back together.
I have lost
And found myself almost instantly,
In someone’s sorrow
Or in someone’s smile.
Now,
At this point,
I look back,
But yet I do not see.
There is a part of me, yet to be free
Or maybe there is something inside of me which has to yet disappear.
This has been my life,
My life in the twilight zone J
P.S:
This is a thank you note to all the people who have touched my life in one way or the other.

in reality, there is no you. that's a tough discovery to make, but it's the final frontier from happiness.

There is a 'you' just as there is an 'I', and the whole universe revolves around it. It's just that this 'You' is subject to constant Change, and that can sometimes be unsettling. Happiness comes in accepting change rather than resisting it.

But there is the universal rule that "You need to change before you have to".
I am still trying to figure out when the time to change would be right :)

@Devilsownbeauty: Personally, I try to change only when I become a public nuisance, but that is besides the point. With regards to what you said about changing voluntarily before you are forced to,yeah I guess there is some logic in that, though again it can be unsettling, because human beings have a tendency to develop emotional bonds that work against change, in practice. So major change is invariably, on some level, almost always forced, and resigned to.I think we agree on some level, that change is an uncomfortable state of being that requires human beings to repeatedly learn how to adapt to it. In short, human beings have to constantly learn and relearn how to aquire a state of happiness. They constantly strive for this state, in the hope that they may gain it for a reasonable period (or maybe "forever"), someday, before things change (uncertainly for better or worse) in the future, again.

From my experience,i have realised that things never change for the better. It's just that the worst consequences are presented or rather disguised and may just seem better. Change, though the universally constant thing, is always for the worse.
