Right or Wrong?

krishnaveni | 24 May 2009, 10:52pm

What do you do when life shows you two opposites and your mind is torn deciding what could be right?

Do you even want to put yourself in situations like that?

Would you volunteer and proceed towards the ‘torture house’ knowing that is where you would end up?

Every time I decide that I won’t let my thoughts take control over me, life puts me in a place where I stand and think “What the Heck!! For this thing (or person) I can take a thousand times worse punishment” because, though cynical by habit, something inside me still tells me I can trust that I would have that support. But Wham!!! I get hit so hard, all the time.

Nevertheless, I am willing to stick to “my so called misjudgement of the situation or the people in it”, as my own choice and live with it. Because the one decision I made in my life was that I would live it my way. My mistakes and my choices. My happiness because of what I achieved as ME. And when I look back years later, down the lane, I can still tell myself that I did something because I really wanted to.

You have to make choices at EVERY stage of your life. Was your choice right or wrong solely depends on how you like the end results.
Emotional people would go through hell to see the situation end like a wonderful hollywood romantic movie.
Practical people would rather have a safe and 'easy' path even if the results can be terrible because most of the time, you always get a second chance.
The first kind of people get what they want, but are already tired because of the emotional exhaustion. The second are doing alright 'coz they've played it safe though they have to sacrifice on things that they really wanted.

    What would you do when
    - u decide to be impractical and then reality bites like a mad dog???
    (or)
    - u decide to be practical
    and practicality eludes you
    ???

there is nothing like right or wrong. For one perspective it may appear right and another view it is wrong. Then why to worry whether it is right ot wrong. Why do u regret after taking decisions?

It's not regret. Once i make that choice, i always stick to it. The process of choosing is what torments the mind, because at times everything seems right-contextual truth concept wise :)
