Monsoon revisited

allsmiles | 26 July, 2004 11:08

Well, we all agree that the grey skies have strange effects on us Indians. But there is also the other side of the monsoon. Kinda like a combination of romance, gloom, hope(for all the farmers), running noses*sniff* *sniff* and other ailments, floods(in some parts of the country), damp clothes, not able to wear your favourite pair of shoes and dress, water-logged streets, children playing the throwing stones game with puddles.

For now I hope to see a ray (a few if I am lucky ) of sunshine, and let it rain cats and dogs. We need the water and how!

Was driving home sunday morning, decided to take my helmet off to get thoroughly drenched and the thought struck me how most of India got too much or too little of the rains and despite all our advances we will always be at nature's mercy.
We are lucky to live in Hyderabad which is a zone of earth where we do not have floods, earthquakes, volcanoes and the sort.

Touchwood!
