Being a geek is weird. You are supposedly smart but dumb in every other aspect.
Geeks don't know how to have fun.
Geeks don't take risks.
Geeks are ugly.
Geeks don't dress well.
Geeks don't smell nice.
Geeks have no hair style, if they have any hair, that is.
Geeks can't get dates unless they are entombed with another geek.
Geeks can't make interesting conversations.
If you are an exception, you are a dumb geek. Life is cruel.

I respectfully disagree.

That's because what geeks do for fun doesn't seem that way to normal people. For example, a geek gets kick out of writing a script that fetches slashdot stories onto his website so he can read them without having to visit /.

Who said so? Some of the best and high-quality software goods are here because their creators - hardcore geeks - took the risks.
Geeks are ugly.
Ugly in what sense? Just the physical appearence or the actual person inside?
Geeks don't dress well.
The main job of a dress is to cover the vital parts that can't be left exposed. Anything more than that is a waste. It sucks to wear a tie or worse, a suit. It's for business people who do all the ass-kissing.
Geeks don't smell nice.
Dude, can't believe you actually smelled one :-) Anyway, all the geeks I know (including me) smell good.

Many geeks tend to have a little different hairstyles than normal people. RMS, Dennis Ritchie, Brian Kernighan etc etc.

Can't argue with that. Just the fact that I've never had sex proves it :-(

Wrong again!!! Many geeks I know of are good speakers - technical or otherwise. Contrary to popular belief that good speakers can't write well and vice versa, many geeks/hackers are good writers too.

Cowboy, I'm no dude. Dudess is more like it. I'm glad somebody disagrees with me though. I wish there are real people in geeks too. Although I haven't met any :-(
