Innocent Soul Seeks Help

Blogger | General | 16 December 2004, 11:47am

After I created this blog entirely for myself (no no, this was and is no baiting {as someone commented, geez}. In fact I can really boast about it). I am worried how to take it on. Its not an easy job mates, to sustain a blogging relationship and I realized that as soon as in 2 days. I do not know what to write here. (ofcourse I don

Take a walk.... Feel the wind in your hair... on your face.... take the knife... let it slide over your wrists with the sound akin to tearin a tissue paper... look at your life gushin out... smell it.. there you go mistah/sistah.... you got yourself an interesting life... and stay away from amita.. bravest lil thing here.. grrrr...

*Wonders what comment sections are for when you can do all the commenting on your blog itself.*

No, I prefer it this way. Keep 'em coming..

And, uhm.. thanks for two continuous mentions on your blog, as well as excerpts of those words of mine.

*Very flattered, and agrees with hty. I must bait a li'l on my blog too. Jeez. 15 comments on the first post*

heh heh. Quite an interesting style you have here. No, really.
Tip One: (oh my! red letter day! Dear Diary...)
Try writing without expecting readers and/or comments.
See how that works for ya.
(Im only dishing out because you seemed to be asking... :-))

I have no counter hits, so I am not sure how many people come to read my blog. Putting up a counter is expert blogging and I am a fresher here.

Took a walk, felt the wind in my hair, messed it up nicely, felt the wind on my face too, was feeling dry, so applied cream and felt it again and then felt nice. Took a knife, let it slide over my wrist with a fhaassss sound (exactly how I was told to), looked at my life gushing out - smelled it somehow, coz was crazy watching my life gushing out and then voila. I indeed got an interesting life. With Amita, my bravest thing. Never she lives in this part of my life.

Thanks ar, for showing my path to success, glory and Amita.

Its my pleasure to mention your blog on my blog Sita. Now you know how much I admire you. And your subtle expressions and not to mention, your sharp wits.
Jokes apart. You have a wonderful sense of humour.

My two cents of... what the heck! Assuming you were really asking, I'm going ahead -

Writing is like shooting, and the most effective and foolproof way to do it is from the point-blank range. Pithy. Simple. To the point. Nobody has perfected that art yet. So, just hold the pistol, aim and shoot. Assemble the thought(s), translate into words, type, and submit. Trying for variation is the first step to mediocre writing. So, please do not worry about 'sounding verbose' or 'stylistic'. It's all subjective and relative. Stylistic writing might sound great, but lacks profundity. Remember? a full volume of love poetry cannot impress your lover/beloved than the simple, beautiful one-liner - "I love you." So, the best writing is always simple. Aim and shoot.

'Disgrace' by Coetzee - a perfect example of simple yet compelling prose.

Have a great day! Happy blogging!

"You two cents of .... what the heck" made a lot of sense to me. Jeez! Thanks.
I will surely take the help of your tip and post my next write-up. I will be "simple and straight".
Will try to look out for the recommended book.
Thanks again.
